The dining hall was enormous considering how little the place seemed to be used. Nicolas was the only person around right at this moment in time, his figure looking small slumped upon the table top. From a glance it would seem as if he were sleeping. He had his arms folded beneath his head, his face pointing towards the wall. His eyes were open though, sure he didn't look very alert but at least he was actually conscious. Nicolas had a tendancy to fall asleep in odd places, most people who knew him were well aware of this habit, most accepted it. So he's usually left alone when found slumped someplace, he's never very happy when woken.
There was a little movement, he lifted his head just as a wide yawn pulled at Nicolas' jaw, opening his mouth so those dainty, razor sharp fangs were visible for a split second before his mouth snapped shut once more, leaving him just looking blearily at the opposite wall once more. Life was boring, it was too hot for his liking outside and inside it was too empty. He was going to have to try and find some middle ground.. But actually getting up and bothering was something difficult. It required will power, something he was lacking at that moment.
Long legs stretched underneath the long and abstractedly large table, he could feel his ancient joints creaking. Oh sure he wasn't that old compaired to some of the other Vampires in this very Coven, but nature would have had him buried down deep in the dirt by now if he were human. He was old. Though this never seemed to faze him, "i have to move," he mumbled, knowing full well that if he didnt so then he'd end up sitting there all day.
Although he'd spoken the words, he doubted very highly that he'd actually do so. He might shuffle down a few chairs, perhaps even make it closer to the door. Saying you're going to do something and actually doing it are two different things really, aren't they? Though, Nicolas half stood to his feet, lifting his backside around half a foot off of the chair before dropping back down again, "ah, later.." He finished mumbling to himself, leaning back in his seat with one hand running through dark hair, "s'over-rated anyway.."
He really needed company. Or something to entertain himself before he went somewhat insane. Otherwise he was going to go out and start up some trouble with the Samari just to keep himself somewhat amused. Vince wouldn't like it.. But it's better to beg for forgiveness than ask permission, right?

Oh, what a day it was in Capri. The humans loved how nice it was outside. They walked about in their dresses and shorts and over sized sunglasses, laughing and working on their "tans". It was a usual day in Capri, warm and sunny. Though it was a tad bit hotter then usual. Most humans didn't mind, and almost all of them spent the day at the beach. For vampires that actually fed on humans this kind of day would be good for hunting. Everyone would be outside and the crowds were so large that no one noticed one person missing. However since Aurora did not feed on humans, this day wasn't all that special.
It was mid-afternoon and most of her coven was downstairs training and sparring. It seemed like everyone had abandoned the manor as it was almost impossibly quiet. It was odd, yet comforting and peaceful. It was surely a break from the constant chatter between fellow coven mates. Vaguely she wondered where Vince was at, wanting to see him. But she refrained from looking for him as she couldn't be with him now anyways. Not in front of the coven. Reaching up she removed the hair tie from her brown locks, letting them drop down to her mid-back. After shaking them out, she began walking through the manor, searching for something to do.
Now, usually, she would use this time to hunt the Samari. This is what she'd been doing most lately, though Vince had asked her to stop. It was so hard to at first, as she constantly wanted to be out there, fighting and killing their coven. But she knew that it was best to listen to Vince, as he was her leader. Resisting the urge to go on a hunt, she walked down the corridors almost aimlessly. Her senses alert, she could smell one of her coven mates nearby. Upon following the scent it brought her to the dining hall. As she entered, she saw him sitting and simply smiled before taking a seat on top of the large table.
"Tired? Or bored. If bored, it seems we have something in common on this fine day." She said with a smile, watching him as she awaited for his reply. His name was Nicolas, as she'd seen him around the manor before. He hadn't been in the coven as long as her, yet she knew quite a bit about him. Word traveled fast within their coven, as they were pretty social.

He smelt her before he saw her, the sweet fragrance of her essence drifting on a non existant breeze and picked up by extraordinary senses. So her sudden appearance never startled him, rarely anything does these days which is another reason as to why he gets so easily bored. He raised his gaze to look up at her perched on the table top, a light smile automatically quirking at one corner of his lips, giving him a lopsided sort of look, "tired? Around here?" He questioned lightly, a breath of amusement escaping past his lips, "it's like one long holiday around here really."
With the occassional and, admittedly, exciting movements from the Samari. There's nothing like turning another to dust to release built up tension, especially for such a good cause. It's very theraputic being a Lamayan. Suited for nearly every Nic's needs.
He regarded her silently for a few seconds, it hadn't been that long that she'd been back with them and now she had become an elite member and apparently Vince's little tidbit, or so rumours said. He had to give it to their leader, she was a gorgeous woman with a body he'd love to get his hands on. Her personality was even interesting in so many ways, but he was quite capable of keeping his hands off of what was already pratically claimed to be somebody else's. Angering his leader was something he didn't really wish to do.
"You're bored too, eh?" He asked, scratching idly at his cheek with apparent disinterest, "I'm seriously considering installing a wide screen tv into every wall of this place," he has the money, it's amazing how much you can save when you don't need to buy food, water or pay bills and you live for a seriously long time, "Introduce everybody to the wonderful world of soap operas.. Do you think Vince would mind?" He finished with a more energetic glimmer within dark eyes and a mildly more mischievous quirk to his smile. Anybody who knows Nic will know he wouldn't actually do somethign as stupid as this, he's just speculating. It puts his imagination to some use, seeing as he doesn't have the patience for anything else.

There was quite a bit of truth in his words. After awhile of immortality it did tend to wear on you. Being alive for so many years, you eventually accomplished everything you'd ever wanted to. So what do you do from there? It was like you were running yet you never got to your destination, stuck in an endless cycle. Eventually it got to be very boring, and the annoyance of such a long life became almost unbearable. However it was something that all of their coven had to deal with, and eventually you just had to get over it. Aurora spent most of her time training and honing in on her skills and senses.
To this day she had improved immensely since she'd first turned. Some vampires stayed at the same level, whereas some continued to improve over the years. Aurora was one of the vampires who continued improving, however it came with hard work. Days and days of training and sparring, mediating and coming to know her power. She still trained and did these things everyday. Sometimes when she was feeling high strung she even trained more then once a day. Most members of the coven probably thought she was some kind of robot but she didn't seem to care.
Laughing at what he'd said she couldn't help but portray a beaming, pearly white smile. At least some members of the manor that remained still had a shard of their humor. Some simply wallowed in their own misery, wanting the war between the two covens to be over. This seemed like a waste of time to Aurora, spending all that time being miserable that is. Why waste it being depressed when you can use it to be stronger? Maybe then they'd have more of a chance of prevailing. She also understood that people deal with different things in different ways, and she accepted this.
"I'm not entirely sure, but I'd love to see it happen." She said smirking, imagining the look on Vince's face when he saw everyone watching soap operas. Hell, sometimes the manor was sort of like a soap opera, drama and rumors always filling the corridors.
"Maybe after that we can paint unicorns along the walls." She said sarcastically, laughing at the ridiculous idea of having tv's all throughout the manor. Putting her hand behind her body she leaned back, her body now diagonally aligned while sitting on the table.
