Dreams were always susceptible of making you believe things that you weren't used to witnessing or believing in the first place. They were the mind's avenue to relaxation and a utopia that could never be reached in the real world. Or the spiritual world for that matter. An insipid thing, it causes man to have a false sense of belief, a sense that only gets them killed or puts them in dire situations. To hell with dreams; to hell with nightmares. To hell with any of those human perceptions. Only thing that mattered to him -- was knowledge. To have something that would never exist was pointless and futile to him. Not to mention a complete and utter waste of time.
So these forts. Hmmm...wonder what kind of immoral acts went about this place. Well, wherever humans were, be sure those acts would be there as well. Not that he himself didn't partake in that indulgent sin; in fact, he reveled in it. But there was an utmost modesty in him, both in controlling his bloodlust desires, and making sure that he was more to the Samari than the same humna hunter that crowded about. He did what he wanted, but it wasn't to endanger his coven. More along the lines of the shadows; a secret observer, fully aligned with them but not serving all of their own functions. No, his own belied his exterior; cold, heartless, apathetic.
The cloth bandages around his body echoed to the brink of twilight and night, the howling wolves marking their presence. Another squall erupted, pushing the blood red streaks of hair and mingling them with his jet-black hair. Just over his back, a pair of small black dagger-like blades rested comfortably. The aroma whiffed seductively within his nostrils, stirring the black orbs into crimson optics. The hunt was on, of course. Not that he was hungry in the least, but he figured to do this place some justice and delve in the very thing God hates, right?

Silently stalking through the shadows Lianna looked for something to hold her interest. Nothing did these days, everything seemed to easy to be the least bit entertaining. Of course she could have a bit of fun with the humans, feeding off of them, but hunting them was no fun. They were stupid, disgusting, and feeble minded compared to that of Lianna. In fact, she thought them to be worse then those humans mixed with the blood of wolves. Although there wasn't any of those in Capri, that much she knew.
One thing she did know about this town was that their was a large vampire population. This could prove fun and dangerous all at the same time. See, Lianna had never aligned herself with those of her kind. This was partly because of the fact that most wanted nothing to do with her, seeing as she was only half vampire. But it was mostly due to the fact that she didn't follow rules. The elderly vampiress refused to follow orders from anyone, and therefore could simply not be in a coven. Unless of course, she was to be leader. How odd of a thought, Lianna leading a coven? Oh, what a bloodshed the world would become.
Being part human and part vampire was oddly irritating. She had all of the vampire characteristics, yet she had a heartbeat. Not only that but she was able to conceive children. Plus, she had a soul. Although it was buried to deep by many years of killing and bloodshed, it was there. Lianna wasn't as strong as most vampires, but her speed was impeccable. As she walked through the streets of the Island, she couldn't help but be overwhelmed with anticipation to meet some of the vampires on the Island. There were so many scents at once, it was almost impossible to think with them all bearing down on her senses.
Entering the town of Al Bhed, she made her way to Fortini. It was beautiful, it had a sort of serenity in its air. However there was something else here also; a vampire. By its scent she could tell male, and by the footprints she saw she assumed him to be quite large. Excited to see where this situation could lead to, she stepped out of the shadows and revealed herself standing in front of him. His dark long hair hung, his eyes as dark as her own. He was a handsome vampire, and probably almost as old as her from what she could tell. By the way he stood and held himself she could see he would be a formidable opponent.
"Lovely evening, yes?" The vampiress said smiling, her pearly white teeth glistening underneath the moonlight. Her delicate features were lightened by the light, her eyes watching the male carefully.

All of these different scents seemed to overwhelm him for a momentary lapse; oh, it was a most beautiful thing. Intoxicating, should he say? Never on a night did so much appease him, and at the same time felt too much to bask in. The black and white bandages around his body continued to flutter in the night breeze, albeit with a much darker and ominous glow to his aura. The way he stood there, unflinching, trying to resist the night's influence over him. all of that would be for naught, however.
Stepping down the rocky cliffs, the Diviner's eyes radiated with a deep blue, exacting his pinpoint perfect vision among the place, watching the feeble humans and their useless existence. Oh, this place definitely was filled with immoral acts. Prostitution, robbery, death, it all served to rile up his soul -- or whatever vampires could term as their lifeless forms. Even pressing his cold hand to his chest, feeling no sense of warmth, made him seem that much more drawn to the world's ills. A step forward within the shadows, and he stopped as another being came into view. Her teeth gleamed with the calming moon, and the soft velvet voice that emanated from her could seem like a siren's.
"Very lovely."
Well, not as lovely as the woman who stood in front of him. Though, for some reason, her scent puzzled him. Another deep breath, he tilted his head away from her, furrowing those eyebrows a bit. Dark as him, with beautiful optics, a vampiress, of course. But something was different about her. Warmth. And it was weird. Along with his superior sight, the wind gave tune to within her, hearing a faint thumping. Very faint, deep within her core darkness, it was there. Meant she was something more than human.
"You have a heartbeat."
Turning completely toward her with that expressionless face of his, his now radiant blue eyes shone deeply within the moonlight's glare. This was going to be interesting.

Humans in the distance roamed, mingling with one another. The air around them was tense, the amount of annoyance and lust, mixed in with anger and outrage, was growing by the second. Oh how emotional such beings were. It baffled her to listen in on their conversations. How they took the little things so seriously. Such as whom was dating whom, who had lied to one another, who was a very *friendly* person. It had nothing to do with them yet they found the need to talk about it as if it mattered personally. It was oddly annoying to listen to them. Tuning them out, she turned her attention back onto the male vampire in front of her.
His stance seemed to be aggressive, yet he didn't seem to want to fight her. Well, not yet at least. Looking deeper into his eyes she seen that he was moreso interested in her. Confused, perhaps. It was probably her scent, it tended to confuse most vampires. She smelled like a fellow creature of the darkness, yet as this male had figured out, she had a heartbeat. Not only that but her skin was warm, whereas his would be cold and marble-like.
"Yes. Pretty little sound isn't it?" She said of her own heart, how faint it beated showing her calmness even in the face of someone who wasn't an ally.
"Don't worry my love, it caught me off guard at first also. Eventually you get used to it.."
The vampiress then added, speaking of herself in third person almost. He had a sense of darkness around him that someone such as herself could appreciate. Though she knew she had a soul, she wondered if he did as well. Hers was almost nonexistant as she didn't let it affect her, however she'd always wondered if full-breeds had one as well. His eyes had now transformed into a different shade of blue, one that she had never seen before on the face of a vampire. He was a full breed, a true vampire. It was surprising that he hadn't made his move to attack her yet. Most did within moments of meeting her, confused by her scent they simply attack without bothering to wonder what she truely is. Obviously, this one was different. Portraying more of her recklessness, she took a step closer to the male. Now just about a feet apart, she tilted her head to the side as he continued to watch her. Straightening back up, she pushed a strand of her hair away from her face as she returned his watching. "My name is Lianna. What is yours, dark one?" She asked him patiently, not minding the constant eye contact. Most people cowered away from eyes when they locked, not wanting to maintain eye contact for too long. Lianna on the other hand strived for it. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Personally, he thought of it as an annoying sound, but that was mostly because the fact that he could hear it so well within a person's chest, right down to the constricting blood vessels, down to the pumping fibers, everything. an insistent drum that wouldn't stop -- how these humans could attempt to stand such a thing was beyond him. Even how this woman could stand it -- but her response to him minimally cleared up that query. You get used to it. Well, he had to be utterly grateful that he didn't have it to begin with. Tilting his head to the side, he continued to watch the people struggle to deal with their own lives.
Again, the brisk and cool air only rivaled with his own freezing, alabaster skin. Purely white -- which was probably the only knack to him if anything. superior strength, speed, vision, quickness, mobility, ruthless cunning, he had all the essential parts to a vampire, not only that, he was apart of a demonic coven that only amplified his lust for fighting and violence. But right here -- it seemed to go away, or at least for the time being. Attempting to turn out all of the other scents and the beats, only focusing on her, he managed to locate the source. And now that she was within a foot of him, asking about his name and giving hers as well, he didn't see the harm.
"Zane."
Well, he noticed her keeping the eye contact with him, as she approached him, within a foot of the Diviner, a name he fashioned for himself, though his own form was that unlike it. But Zane was that name given to him. Those raidant blue eyes continued their luminescence, stepping those boots forward as well, closing the gap until they were less than inches apart. Rather close for two dangerous creatures, but his eyes didn't show any hostility -- in fact, they showed more than just a bit of interest. Downright fascination. What was weird was that he was part of a coven that went and attacked without a second thought. Again, he tilted his head sideways, those eyes shooting through her own, unafraid.
"And you are...half of what I am. Interesting."
No, she was part human, that was for sure. No vampire could have the temperature that her body was giving off to him. In a bit of curiosity, he rose his bandaged hand to her cheek, just bracing over the lips, which he had just noticed by now, full and warm. He managed to keep it there for a moment, just amazed at the warmth that was coming from a vampire. Closing his eyes, he slowly brought his hand back down, but not before lasting his impression over her cheek.

It was quite clear simply by the look on his face that he did not think of it as such a great sound, in fact he probably thought of it as annoying all together. The female could tell where this was coming from, most vampires thought this as well. A heartbeat was the sign of a human. Humans were nothing more then entertainment and a life source to vampires. However, that was until they came across a creature such as Lianna. One who had no certain species, whom defied the laws of the vampires and yet defied those of the humans as well. An immortal heartbeat, one that was backed by strong physical attributes. It was true, she was quite an odd being. She knew this.
As he moved closer she instinctively tensed her muscles. As she noticed that his weren't tensed, but instead, quite lax, she loosened up a bit. Watching him intently she sunk her dark eyes into his own blue, looking for an agenda. Certainly there was a reason as to why he hadn't attacked her yet. What that reason was she didn't know, though she knew it had to be quite peculiar.
"And you are...half of what I am. Interesting."
Ah, so this Zane had figured out what she was. This didn't impress her, it wasn't a hard thing to learn. Although this sparked another thought into her already busy mind. Now that he knew what she was, why has he not tried to kill her? All the other vampires whom she'd met had seen her as an abomination. A shameful member of their species, something that had to be destroyed. Why was this one so much different? Or was this an act, to catch her off guard? She assumed not, as he probably knew he was stronger then her. Faster? She doubted it. Older? She doubted that too. But then again, she was always ready for surprises.
Simply nodding to what he said, she watched as he got even closer to her. He continued advancing, and she stood her ground. Almost frozen in time she held back from wincing as he put his hand to her face. Though he was not harming her, he was most likely feeling her warmth. Her skin radiated it, it was one of the many attributes she'd attained as a half-breed. Usually if someone touched her like this, it would be the last thing they touched. However she was curious about this one and therefore let him do as he pleased. As he pulled his hand back, she stayed standing that close to him as she spoke.
"Warm, I know. Almost the opposite of your own." Lianna said, speaking of their skin. Her voice was calm and composed, that of an angel's. Eyes locked with his own, her gentle features watched him carefully awaiting his response.

Without a doubt, she was expecting someone of his kind to attack her, the fact that she was half of a human, half of a vampire, and supposedly something that creatures like Zane would've attacked. No, she intrigued him, not just because she was a dhampir, or so they were called, but also because she knew full well what vampires like him were capable of, and didn't show the slightest bit of worry, of hesitation. Lianna had allowed him to...touch her, without so much as a curt reply or the tensing of her muscles. They continued to stare at each other, looking to read each other's minds, but to only great difficulty.
Finally turning away from her, he slowly walked to the port side -- the darkness enveloping the place in the fog, the mist seeping through the streets where the prey roamed freely. Free without the worry that their predator was soon on his streak. Crossing those arms over his chest, he lowered his head down, allowing the black and red streaks of hair to cover his face.
"The night calls to our demonic side."
As he spoke softly and solemnly, his eyes shifted back to their dark prominence, watching a few humans in the distance. A few females, other males, didn't seem to be too much there to give a challenge. Of course, none of them could even if they tried, considering that he wasn't just a powerful vampire with all of his abilities, but he was resourceful, and he thought before he acted. Which was why he was so highly valued in his coven. Not even being the leader, and he might as well be second in command, ahead of Arluna. Speaking of her, she hadn't been here as of late. Should report her to the elitists, just to see her punishment. As for this woman...
He turned his head back to her, and then in a moment's flash, he had disappeared. The speed of his form only brought out illusory copies of him as he strode down the mountainside, and ended up on the street corner, landing with perfect flux and balance, and walking forward as if nothing happened. The humans didn't seem to notice him at all, they just went along their merry little ways...

Most would more then likely be intimidated by this male. He was large and she assumed equally as strong. However for some reason he didn't frighten the half-blood. Instead, she was oddly intriuiged by him. It was then that she wondered which coven he was a part of. She was almost certain he was a member of one of the two. Most vampires here were, the ones whom permanately lived here. From what she'd gathered so far they seemed to be very different, ideally. Though which was which was the only thing she did not know.
As he walked away she simply watched him, his every move. It was a natural thing for Lianna to observe people quite a bit. It allowed her to get to know how people walked, from which she could tell a lot about someone. He seemed a bit like her in the sense that she could tell he was dark. His darkness seemed to match her own, which didn't happen often.
Earlier she'd seen a female by the name of Aurora, whom was the complete opposite. Light and good. It disgusted her. Those whom protected the humans confused her. The humans hated their kind and thought of them not to exist, yet they protected them? What was so special about their lives that they needed defenders? It simply didn't make sense to Lianna.
As he spoke she snapped out of her thoughts and turned her eyes to his yet again. Then in only a moments time, he was gone. Down the mountain and going to wards the humans. Already she could see what he was thinking; blood. Lianna had eaten only earlier that day, and therefore wasn't all that thirsty. However she would watch wall this young one feasted. Matching his path and outdoing his pace, she met him below the mountain. Curiously she waited for him to begin doing what ever he'd come to do. With this, she moved into the shadows and simply wacthed, observing silently.

Those eyes had shifted to a darker red, almost cardinal red with the prospect of blood. Guess she caught him on a good night to either be intimidated, or fascinated. Above all, he was definitely looking for some sort of fight to use his weapons, but given that they were only two women and one man, supposedly in some rather disapproving acts, it would most likely be better to get rid of them. Zane brought his hand to the scabbard of his blades, sheathing them out. The pearl black steel of the blades gave off an inner light that attracted them. All three of them seemed to turn around, just to see the dark man approaching them. By the look of his eyes, they could tell that he wasn't here to play nice.
It was a curse of being with the Samari, they were mostly there to force you to the bloodlust. Him, on the other hand, enjoyed such a thing, but for his hatred of humans, and for the fact that he managed to get rid of pathetic people in their society. Much as he loathed humans, he would surely not get rid of one and have the economy -- or whatever sort of marking -- disappear. No, only the ones that sinned like him. Made it all the more hypocritical. But philosophy had no bearing at the moment. Just as the man saw him take out the blades, he pushed both of the women forward to save his own skin from the advancing vampire. A young blond and a busty brunette -- delightful. Taking her by the hand, those eyes went clearly crimson, and those fangs began to show themselves, as he leaned forward, sinking those teeth voraciously into her neck, the blood flowing both into his mouth and her neck.
Just like that, she was done. Snapping her neck so that she wouldn't become like him, he watched the other girl freak out in terror by his actions, but didn't run away. Instead, she only went and fainted right in front of him. Once she dropped to the floor, his eyes tuned in on the escaping man. If there was one thing he hated more than humans were humans that were cowards. Taking a few steps forward, he instantly disappeared into godlike speed, rushing toward the man and suddenly appearing before him, his back turned to him, and his blades stained with red blood.
His blood.
The attack came that fast. It left him crippled -- dead. His body was sliced cleanly in half.

Lianna watched with anticipation to see just how this particular vampire handled himself. Although it wasn't exactly a test of skill seeing how they were just humans. Any vampire could kill humans, they were one of the weakest species on the planet. Part of what made them so weak was all of their emotions. This was why, Lianna had always refrained from potraying emotions herself. They only showed weakness, and weakness she was not.
As he finished off the three humans she simply observed. Taking note of his techniques and how fast he was should she end up fighting him. Although it was a high possibility, she didn't honestly think it would come to that. As he finished off the last of them she stepped out of the shadows again. Walking over to where he now stood, she made a clapping motion as she eyed him.
"Well done young one." She then said, her eyes cold and hard; such as her heart.

A low growl emanated from his throat, almost guttoral, but it was very solemn, almost like a warning from an animal. In no means was it directed toward the woman, just his way of controlling and subduing those urges for more blood. He had great control, but even looking at the fallen blood on his hands could turn him into a frenzy. The repetitive growls subsided, as Zane returned to his normal self, calm with those black pearls being encased by the fleshy cocoons called his eye sockets.
Standing perfectly still and straight, he returned those lustrous blades back into the scabbards, being satisfied by both the meal and the clink of the hilt of his blades against the scabbard. Taking a slow and subtle breath, he wiped the blood from his coated lips, hearing the claps from the woman. Any other person could laugh about it, not so much him. While it was amusing to say the least, it really was nothing. After all, they were just humans.

As he emmited a growl, she simply waited for this phase to pass. It was obvious he was having a rough time passing up more blood. On the other hand, it didn't bother Lianna at all. Although it was possible that she had an advantage, only half of her wanting the blood. She ate human food also, though she preferred blood. It seemed shameful to eat the foods of such disgusting creatures. Some might think of her as a hypocryte considering she was half human, but she didn't care. Finally he ceased the animal noises, and she took this opportunity to advance to wards him yet again.
"Puppy not get enough to eat?" She said smirking, waiting for her to get on his nerves and have him attack her. He would probably be a challenge for her, but she enjoyed challenges quite a bit. Actually, she thrived for them. Next, she moved even closer so that she was now touching him. So close that their chests met, she lifted her head up so that she could speak into his ear.
"Or do you simply have an itch you need scratched?" She said seductively, her voice serene as she spoke. Her warm breath beat against his neck as she let her lips brush his ear. Then pulling back, she smirked as she waited for his reaction.

The animal side of him passed, and good riddance. It was a distubing thing, but now that he had returned to normal, his eyes shifted toward the woman right now. Yeah, for someone like her, half of what he was, and half of what he had just killed, so wouldn't have those kinds of urges the way he did. Good for her. He embraced it and at the same time learned to restrain it -- or at least that was what he had first thought. Once the woman advanced toward him again, he tilted his head, wondering what she would want this time. His body remained still as hers practically brushed against his own body. Leaning into his ears, whispering the way she did, seductive.
"Tempting."
Once she pulled back, allowing him his little chance, he decided to take it fully, stepping forward once again, having their bodies press closely like before, and having him lean against her ear again. While there, he caught the scent of her human half, and he couldn't help but take it all in, trying not to succumb however.
"I like. And not having enough to eat..."
Again, he leaned against her ear, but this time breaking all boundaries, having those lips trace against her earlobe, almost in a kissing like manner.
"...you have no idea."

A thrill of excitement crossed over her as he came closer to her as she'd just done. This wasn't an unusual situation for the woman, she was in such situations often. However what was unusual was Zane. He was different then most, yet she couldn't tell why so far. He seemed quite intelligent, which so was she, and therefore she liked this. She could feel since smelling her. Probably taking in the human side of her, and it probably tempted him. To feed on her that is. It wouldn't hurt her, and it might even satisfy him. However that was for a later time.
As his lips brushed against her ear she couldn't help but brace herself. Frozen, she finally moved after he moved his mouth from her earlobe. Raising her hands to his chest, she gently pushed him back to wards a wall. It was obvious she wasn't meaning to hurt him, and she hoped he wouldn't take this as an act of violence.
With his back against the wall she pressed herself against him again, this time moving in closer with her head. Next she did something usual for her, yet probably unusual for him. She kissed him. Hard, and passionate. Her soft, full lips met with his. Her own warm skin heated his a bit as they melted into one another. Pulling back she smirked before beginning to walk down the street.
"Coming, or not?" She asked, though she wasn't looking or facing him. The woman simply stared ahead as she walked.

Well, what went around came around, right? It was almost like ecstasy, the feeling that came about all of this, her at first with her seductive words, and then him with the ever-so close body contact, enough to feel her warmth which was strangely soothing. Just as he pulled back, not before nipping at her ear with his teeth, he felt her soft hands cover against his chest, and a push back into the wall. Not that it took him by surprise, but most of the time he was expecting attacks, so he figured to have his guard up. But, no weapons around, he didn't sense any hostile advance from her, so that guard was let down.
What happened instead was purely unique. And then, feeling those luscious lips on his own for an intense and passionate kiss that he was neither expecting nor denouncing. He wanted it,from the onset of the kiss, and turned away not until she pulled away, smirking from the enjoyment. Her lips were hot -- not in that sense. Well, somewhat as well. But she was warm, and his body was ice cold, and for a moment, he felt that surge of heat through his body. And it felt good. It felt way too good, even better than the scent she exuded.
It was strange, no doubt. Tilting his head as he was apt to do, he went and followed her, at first keeping the distance, not really sure what had just happened. She had kissed him -- and he could sense the passion that was in it. Even now, the memory continued to reply over and over in his mind, each time bringing that charming smile to his lips.
"And the kiss was for?"
